Today was a pretty good victory for the internet as the Net Neutrality Bill passed.
We've all seen the commercials on TV about people claiming their computers were running so slow, but after they ran Speed up my PC their computers were running a 1000x faster. Folks, please don't be fooled by this cheap garbage software. Just because a company has a TV commercial does not mean it's trustworthy or a good product. This company has changed its name so many times because of lawsuits and legal issues we lost count. All we can say is STAY AWAY. Names can vary from Speed up my PC to Boost my PC, and so on.
While we're on the topic of companies to stay away from, we highly recommend staying away from Best Buy's notorious Geek Squad. The 'techs' that people have been unsuspectingly trusting their computers with are not trained or certified. Most are kids out of high school, maybe even your next door neighbor. Not to mention, they have been sued countless times now because these kids are saving your personal pictures onto their own flash drives and then uploading them to websites without the owners' knowledge. Another company to AVOID at all costs.
Here we will provide some tools to better educate our visitors on the current trends.
Tip 1: Did you know that you are responsible for your Wi-Fi. If you leave your wireless network unsecured and someone [even a neighbor] uses your network to do something illegal [like downloading copyrighted music or videos], in most states you are the one held accountable. There have been many cases reported of unsuspecting consumers being charged with the illegal actions they had no knowledge of.

Tip 2: Javascript can be great for viewing pages with lots of interactive content, but it can also be a great transport mechanism for truly bad things.
